Age-23 Born Huntingdonshire Enlisted-Basingstoke St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France
Thomas Stafford died on 7th March, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but It is not known if he died from wounds or from illness, both of which took their toll of the men on the Western Front. 15th Hussars went to France at the start of the war in August, 1914, where they were split up with their squadrons being attached to different divisions. They were reunited in April, 1915 and joined 9 Cavalry Brigade in the 1st Cavalry Division. |
